Lowdown Throwdown is a head-to-head bass competition showcasing groove, tone, technique, and stage presence. This isn’t a jam—it’s a battle.
Backline bass amps and cabinets will be provided. Bassists may bring their own bass, pedals, cables, and straps. No backing tracks, loopers, or pre-recorded material—everything is performed live.
The competition follows a single-elimination bracket format, with one-on-one matchups. Each bassist will have a set time to perform short solos or groove-based showcases.
How it works:
Each round features alternating 30-second performances from each bassist. After three rounds, the winner is determined by combined scoring:
Crowd Vote: 49%
Judges’ Vote: 51%
The highest score advances to the next bracket.
Expect heavy grooves, deep funk, and serious low-end energy as bassists battle for supremacy in front of a live audience.
