WATCHTOWER heads to Corpus Christi with special guests THE LOVE BOMBERS. Watchtower is an American progressive metal band based in Austin, Texas. Influenced by progressive rock and then-burgeoning new wave of British heavy metal scenes, Watchtower has been credited (along with Voivod and Coroner) for helping pioneer the subgenre of “technical thrash metal” (also known as “progressive thrash metal”), which mixed elements of progressive music with thrash/speed metal. The band has also been cited as having influenced or inspired many notable progressive or heavy metal acts, including Dream Theater, Athiest, Nasty Savage and Death.

SIX STRING SHOWDOWN
The devil may have went down to Georgia, but that was just a stop on his way to CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS In the Qualifying Round of the Six String Showdown, contestants will play for two minutes to a backing track that will be provided. The audience will cast their votes, so bring out your biggest fans! Winners of this round will move on to the semi-finals. We will provide amp backline for all performers. A choice of select amps: 5150, Fender HotRod, Marshall half stack, etc. Contestants will need to bring their own guitars and effects pedals. If a contestant has their own amp modeler head only/rack floor unit (not a physical amp), that will be acceptable.

Ballyhoo! is BACK and they are bringing their Maryland Beach Rock to the beaches of Corpus Christi! The band’s music has become known as the go-to for setting the tone for a day at the beach. A nice drive on a beautiful day. A backdrop for pre-game drinks with friends. 
 Ballyhoo! shows are about love and good vibes. The melodies are contagious and the lyrics are meant to connect at a human level. This band wants to lift up anyone that wants to listen. These guys know how to party, so get ready Corpus Christi!
CC Songwriters Showcase
CC Songwriters is BACK at House of Rock! Join us for a showcase featuring a talented lineup of local songwriters. Corpus Christi Songwriters is a pending 501(c)3 Texas nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources, education and a springboard for local songwriters in the Corpus Christi area. Founded in 2014, CC Songwriters hosts several events throughout the year – including In The Rounds (an Open Stage for original music only) the second Sunday of EVERY MONTH at Executive Surf Club; Presents: Showcases every quarter months at various venues; Workshops and Retreats throughout the year, and the Corpus Christi Songwriters Festival, held every February. CC Songwriters: Mission – To promote, foster, and enhance original music in the Coastal Bend.
